Founded in 1985, Special Markets Insurance Consultants, Inc. (SMIC) recognized a major opportunity in the field of Student Accident insurance and became committed to becoming the major supplier of these programs in the United States.

As the Student Accident business grew, our network of agents began to look to Special Markets for solutions to other "special insurance needs".  This led to additional product development whose writings in this area continue to grow substantially each year.

We are very proud of our accomplishments over the years and our extensive network of agents.  We feel that we have the finest staff and we are completely dedicated to our goal of "SERVICE".

SMIC is a nationally recognized provider of insurance coverage for events, sports, recreational and religious activities throughout the United States.  SMIC maintains insurance licenses in all 50 states.
